Tubibe Amahoro is a Rwandan non-governmental organization working to promote equity, human rights and sustainable peace through civic participation, access to justice, gender protection and rural community development.
Tubibe Amahoro (TA), meaning “Sow Peace,” is a Rwandan non-governmental organization founded in 2000 in response to the aftermath of the Genocide against the Tutsi. Our purpose is to promote sustainable peace, respect for human rights and inclusive socio-economic development. We work through dialogue, mediation, training and livelihood improvement to restore trust and strengthen communities.
We empower citizens to actively participate in governance, planning and decision-making processes, ensuring their voices influence public policies and local development.
Environmental Protection & Rural Community Development
TA strengthens rural livelihoods through VSLAs and sustainable agriculture while promoting environmental protection and climate resilience in communities.
We prevent gender-based violence and promote the social, economic and legal empowerment of women and men through community engagement, leadership development, and inclusive decision-making.
We strengthen access to justice through legal awareness, free legal aid, community paralegal support and alternative dispute resolution, promoting accountability and trust between citizens and duty bearers.
We invite citizens, partners, and volunteers to join us in building peaceful, just and inclusive communities. Through training, advocacy, and community action, we work together to strengthen social accountability and promote sustainable development.
